Matilde Ellen Simonetti

Matilde is a third-year PhD student at RWTH Aachen University in the Chair of Cognitive and Experimental Psychology, supervised by Dr. Tanja Roembke and Prof. Iring Koch. In her research, she explores how bilinguals learn new words. She is particularly curious about how learning unfolds moment-to-moment (using an eye-tracking) and how linguistic experience shapes this process. Before her PhD, Matilde studied at the University of Milano-Bicocca, where she completed a master’s in Applied Experimental Psychological Sciences.
