María Jesús Maraver is an Assistant Professor at the University of Jaén, at the Developmental and Educational Psychology area in the Department of Psychology. She is a cognitive neuroscience researcher and a collaborator of the Memory and Language Research Group at the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) at the University of Granada. Her postdoctoral training took place at CIMCYC, Leiden University (The Netherlands), and the University of Lisbon (Portugal). Her research focuses on human cognitive enhancement, examining how cognitive control and memory can be improved in healthy individuals through cognitive training, brain stimulation, or interventions targeting memory errors. She is particularly interested in how individual differences (such as age, baseline abilities, or motivation) shape the effectiveness of cognitive enhancement methods. At WiCS+E, she serves as secretary and event coordinator, helping strengthen communication within the network and with the broader community.
